So ... in my boredom during the winter break ... I wrote my own piece of code to handle making / editing news posts (and other things).

The SpiffyNews page may be a little messed up until I take the time to fix the HTML ... but I'm lazy, and no one goes there ... so whatever. Also you can't comment on the news posts yet ... because I also saw that as unimportant ... but it'll be back to the way it was before too long.

Glad to see Guy's making new comics again!

I've been changing the structure of the code the generates all this (most heavily on the part that Guy uses) and just changed it all over a couple of hours ago. So ... basically if something eXpLoDeS on you, don't freak out ... just let us know what and where if you can (odds are there will be at least some kabooms).

Guy also wants to make his Robot series stick out from the rest, so you'll notice the addition of the "Story" category and the links at the top of the page are a tad bit different. "TheSpiffyLife" link now leads to the main story that he's doing right now instead of the "Comics" section (which is now, obviously named "Comics").

Previous links will (should) be redirected automagically if everything is setup right. So all is well there. I've turned caching off until the rest is all up so things might (although I doubt it) be a little bit slower than usual.

Other things are minor for now. I'm playing with some ajax for the comments form. It's halfway done right now ... so . And the archives page is a bit bare compared to how it used to be because I don't have time to work the rest of those changes in and get my effing Proofs homework done
